DevSweep is a local utility for macOS and Windows. The app does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on any server. There is no account, no in-app analytics, no telemetry, and no advertising. This marketing website (devsweep.org) uses Google Analytics 4 only after you accept optional analytics. Google Analytics uses first-party cookies to measure visits and page interactions. Advertising storage and advertising signals remain disabled. We remove query strings and fragments from page URLs and do not send form contents to Google Analytics. Your analytics choice is stored on this device; use “Privacy choices” to reject analytics or withdraw your consent at any time.

What DevSweep accesses

Your home directory and subfolders, to scan for caches, build artifacts, duplicates and large files; folders you explicitly select through the file picker; and system disk-usage metrics. All access happens locally on your machine. Nothing is uploaded.

What DevSweep stores

Your preferences (theme, whitelisted folders, last-scan timestamp, purchase state) in the local system preferences store, and a local database used for scan history. No cloud sync, no in-app analytics, no telemetry, no ads. Website traffic measurement is separate and described above.

Deletions

DevSweep only deletes files you explicitly select and confirm. Deletions are permanent and not recoverable from the app.
